Tyler F. Whitehouse, CFP®, CAP® is a partner and the President of RMR Wealth Builders, Inc., where he oversees the firm’s Personal Wealth business, which covers employee and independent financial advisors. As a member of the firm’s leadership team, Tyler plays a key role in advisor recruitment and development, client experience, and financial planning initiatives across the organization.
With more than two decades of experience in wealth management, Tyler is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional whose career has been rooted in comprehensive planning and high-touch service. Today, that experience informs his leadership of RMR’s Personal Wealth business. Tyler plays a central role in attracting and mentoring new advisors, reinforcing RMR’s planning-first philosophy, and ensuring the firm’s culture and client experience remain strong as the organization scales.
Tyler began his career in financial services in 2002 and joined RMR Wealth in 2008 while affiliated with Financial Network Investment Corporation, an ING Company. Over the years, he has played an integral role in the firm’s growth and evolution, helping to build a planning-first culture that supports both advisors and clients. In addition to the CFP® designation, Tyler is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) and is one of roughly 150 NFLPA Registered Financial Advisors.
Beyond RMR Wealth, Tyler serves on the Board of Directors of the From Tessa With Love Foundation, established in honor of RMR Wealth’s Co-Chairman, Joseph Russo’s late fiancée, Tessa DeStagni. He is also a shareholder in HREase, a benefits technology company, reflecting his interest in innovation and solutions that enhance the client and advisor experience.
Tyler grew up in Maine and now lives in Morristown, NJ, with his wife, Molly, and their two children, Nora and Patrick. They are active members of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. He enjoys teaching Nora and PK to golf, hiking with Molly, and rooting for his Tigers every fall. He attended Clemson University and majored in Financial Management with a minor in Accounting. After graduation, he spent 11 years living and working in Manhattan before settling in New Jersey.
