Joseph James Russo, Jr. serves as Chairman of RMR Wealth Builders, Inc., where he plays a pivotal role in the firm’s strategic direction, business development, and relationship management. Since joining RMR Wealth in 2004 and becoming a partner in 2007, Joseph has helped shape the culture and values of the firm, emphasizing integrity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to service.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Joseph has dedicated his career to supporting the growth and development of others, whether through mentoring rising professionals, strengthening RMR Wealth’s internal culture, or expanding the firm’s strategic reach. Prior to joining RMR Wealth, he served as a Regional Director with Financial Network Investment Corporation and ING Advisors Network, where he played a key role in advisor development and relationship management.
At RMR Wealth, Joseph is known for his steadfast commitment to service, both within the firm and in the broader community. He actively mentors younger associates, interns, and emerging leaders, while also guiding students and young adults in underprivileged communities and supporting organizations focused on mental health and addiction recovery.
Outside of RMR Wealth, Joseph is the founder and president of the From Tessa With Love Foundation and has served in leadership roles with numerous service organizations, including the Coccia Foundation and the Italian American Heritage Foundation. He has been frequently recognized for his service and philanthropic work across the communities and causes he supports.
Joseph earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. A passionate wine collector and culinary enthusiast, he brings the same sense of purpose and joy to his personal interests as he does to his professional life, believing that true success is measured by the positive impact one has on others.
