James Bremis is a Wealth Advisor at RMR Wealth Builders, Inc., where he helps individuals and families find clarity and confidence in their financial futures. His work centers on answering two essential questions for every client: Will I make it? and Do I have any financial blind spots?

Before joining RMR Wealth, James played a key role in building and leading the wealth management practice at Sentinel Group in New York City. There, he worked closely with private clients, advised retirement plan sponsors, and managed a team of financial advisors, all while serving on Sentinel’s Investment Committee. He developed investment strategies and financial plans rooted in each client’s goals and values.

James also worked at OppenheimerFunds, where he consulted with top advisory teams on practice management, ERISA retirement plans, and specialized investments such as high-yield municipal debt, emerging markets, international debt, smart beta strategies, and MLPs.

Recognized for his leadership and impact, James is a recipient of the Excellence & Leadership Award and the Impact Player Award during his time at Sentinel.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and carries multiple industry certifications, including:

James has completed advanced training through the Yale School of Management Executive Education Program in Wealth Management Theory & Practice as well as the certificate program, “ESG Investing for 401(k) Plan Advisors,” through the American Retirement Association. His insights have been featured in CBS MoneyWatch and Financial Planning Magazine.

Passionate about mentorship and giving back, James is actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, where he serves on their Board of Directors. He also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, where he mentors youth and leads college interview workshops for Littles preparing for the next chapter in life, and he previously served on the Executive Board of the Young Professionals Committee.

Outside the office, James enjoys golfing, traveling, cycling, and training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He lives in Odessa, Florida with his wife, their two children, and their dog. They love trying new restaurants, tackling home projects, and exploring New York City.
