Now that you’ve completed the onboarding video, you can begin building your financial profile directly within eMoney.

As a starting point, please review the Important Documents Checklist.This reflects the approach outlined in the video, including which accounts are best linked directly and which may be better suited for statement uploads to the Vault.

The checklist is meant to be a comprehensive guide, not a requirement. You do not need to provide everything listed to get started. The primary objective is to begin building your financial picture, and we can continue to add and refine details together over time.

If you have not yet received your registration email, please contact your advisor. The email will come from notification@emoneyadvisor.com and is required to activate your account.

Below are answers to common questions about getting started, linking information, using the portal, and working with your advisor through eMoney.

Getting Started & Access

How do I access my eMoney client portal?

You’ll receive a registration email from notification@emoneyadvisor.com. Follow the prompts to create your login credentials. Once registered, you can access your portal anytime through the login link provided by your advisor or on our website.

I didn’t receive my registration email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still don’t see it, reach out to your advisor and we can resend your invitation.

Is the eMoney portal secure?

Yes. eMoney uses bank-level encryption, multi-factor authentication, and continuous monitoring to help protect your personal and financial information.

Can I access my portal on my phone?

Yes. You can log in through your mobile browser or download the eMoney mobile app for convenient access on the go.

Linking Accounts & Uploading Information

Should I link my accounts or upload statements?

Both options are available.

  • Link accounts for items that change frequently, such as bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts
  • Upload documents for accounts that don’t need constant updates, such as real estate, certain retirement accounts, and insurance policies

Your onboarding checklist will help guide you, but you don’t need to complete everything at once.

What if I’m not comfortable linking my accounts?

That’s completely fine. You can manually enter information or upload statements instead. The goal is to get a starting point, not perfection.

How often does my information update?

Linked accounts typically update daily. Manual entries and uploaded documents can be updated whenever you choose.

What can I actually do in the eMoney portal?

Your portal is designed to give you a clear view of your financial life. You can:

  • See all your accounts in one place
  • Track your net worth and spending
  • Review your financial plan
  • Store important documents securely
  • Run “what-if” scenarios with your advisor
What is the Vault?

The Vault is a secure digital storage area where you can upload and organize important documents like tax returns, estate documents, and insurance policies.

Will I break anything if I click around?

Not at all. The portal is designed for exploration. You can navigate freely without worrying about impacting your plan.

How does this connect to my financial plan?

The information in your portal feeds directly into your financial plan. The more accurate your data, the more meaningful and personalized your plan becomes.

Do I need to have everything entered before we start planning?

No. The goal is to get started. We can build and refine your plan over time as more information is added.

Can I see different financial scenarios?

Yes. We can model different “what-if” scenarios together, such as retirement timing, major purchases, or changes in income.

Ongoing Use & Maintenance

How often should I log in?

There’s no strict rule, but we recommend checking in periodically or before meetings so you can stay engaged with your plan.

What if my situation changes?

You can update your information anytime. Life changes are exactly why we use this tool, so we can adjust your plan accordingly.

Do I need to keep everything updated myself?

Not entirely. Linked accounts update automatically, and we’ll guide you on what’s most important to keep current.
