RMR Kicks Off the Year

| March 29, 2019

RMR’s first quarter saw many fun changes and family additions. Here, we will update you on the activities we participated, the people who make this organization great and what’s on the horizon for RMR.

RMR Family Additions

We had two new hires this quarter. Each team member brings their own unique background and experience to round out our team; these new hires are no exception.

Ryan Goudie, a Retirement Plan Specialist, attended Penn State University. His interests include sports, socializing and traveling. When asked how he’s adjusted to RMR so far, Ryan says, “I love it and I am very glad that I made the move to come here!”

Marc Guido, a Personal Finances Specialist, attended Montclair State University. His interests include working out, hockey, hiking and music. When asked how he’s adjusted to RMR, Marc says, “I enjoy working here, the environment is great, and it feels like we’re all family.”

Gold Star

This quarter, RMR saw a few title changes. Alyssa Cortelyou went from Operations Specialist to Operations Manager. Steven Sergio, the previous Operations Manager, moved to Director of Compliance & Operations. Congratulations, Alyssa and Steven, on your well-deserved achievements!

Two RMR members passed tests this week! We would like to extend a warm congratulations to Shahad Mansour, who passed the Securities Industries Exam (SIE), and Dominic Aceto, who passed the SIE and Series 7 test.

The SIE Exam is a quiz for current or aspiring securities industry professionals. It tests their knowledge on industry concepts, market structures, forbidden practices and more. The Series 7 exam (or General Securities Representative Exam) is a test exclusively for registered representatives that evaluates based on keeping customer account records, handling finances, and giving investment advice. We commend Shahad and Dominic on advancing and evaluating their knowledge in this field, and are so fortunate they are a part of our team.

Visiting I Giullari di Piazza at St. Raymond’s

This quarter, RMR visited St. Raymond’s to witness a special interactive performance by I Giullari di Piazza (“The Players of the Square”), a performance troupe specializing in authentic southern Italian music, dance and theater dating back to the 13th century. They also incorporate more modern forms of dance, as well as works that focus on folk music and commedia dell’arte.

We were honored to be invited to this special performance, and greatly enjoyed watching the talented troupe pay tribute to Southern Italy’s rich folklore.

Upcoming Events

There are several upcoming community events we are looking forward to. We will be walking in Family Promise of Bergen County’s fundraiser, Hike for Hope, for the second time. This walk helps to fund Family Promise programs, which empower homeless working families. The organization provides temporary shelter and targeted support to Bergen County families.

We will visit St. Raymond’s for Easter again this year, a tradition we always enjoy upholding:

We also are excited to participate in St. Frances De Chantal’s Easter Parade, as we had so much fun last year:

Ultimately, RMR had a promising first quarter filled with community fun, amazing performances, and high-achieving team members. We are eager to dive into the year, and as always, greatly appreciate all the organizations that allow us to be a part of their festivities and activities!
