JIM RICE
Financial Advisor
Jim is a Wealth Manager with extensive experience educating individuals and business owners in all areas of their personal and professional finances. Jim and his co-Advisor, Charles Catapano, collectively work in tandem to shepherd their clients through their financial lives. These areas include but are not limited to maximizing their employer provided retirement plans, individual as well as group life insurance, college planning, business succession strategies, and estate planning.
As a proud member of the “sandwich” generation (sandwiched between young kids and aging parents), understanding the impact of financial and retirement planning was a natural interest for Jim. So much so, it inspired him to leave his 20-year career in information security and technology to focus on Wealth Management.
Jim began his working life in the U. S. Marine Corps. For more than a decade he proudly served in the Marine Corps culminating with a position in management for foreign dignitary programs through the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the Secretary of Defense. As a former proud member of the Marine Corp, Jim finds it particularly rewarding to serve those who serve their communities such as police, firefighters, and other first responders, Jim’s family included.
Jim grew up in North Bellmore, NY and currently lives in East Meadow with his wife Maria and two sons Nick and Matt. He is the Co-Founder of the charity Blue Star Cigars, a charity that ships donated cigars to our men and women who are serving our country in uniform overseas. Jim and his business partner Charlie have known each other for many years, growing up in the same town, attending the same schools from elementary through High School.
Jim is FINRA licensed with a series 7 & 66 and has his Life, Health and Variable Insurance Licenses. Jim also holds both his Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in business returning to college in 2003 while juggling fulltime work and a young growing family.
